My Google calendar is loaded with shows I know I’m interested in seeing. Every time a listing catches my eye, I mark the date, and it’s not uncommon to have possibilities lined up five nights out of a given week. Sometimes, though, I just feel like going to a show, even when the calendar stands empty. Tuesday night this feeling led me to the Funhouse.

I’m pretty sure Paste magazine even solicited a Best Albums list their mailroom guy (which is actually pretty cool), though I can’t find it anywhere on their site. When I’m not busy rock and rolling, I run 5k races. (Well, and, you know, eat, sleep, play with the dog… etc.) While running is great exercise and can be very rewarding, there are moments when it’s not really very fun. At these moments, I need encouragement. I need distraction. I need rock and roll.
That is all.
